Common fixes
The SortViral bar doesn't appear
Reload the page after installing or updating SortViral. The bar sits above the grid on a creator's Reels, Posts, videos or pins, and on search, hashtag and sound pages. It doesn't appear on single posts or your home feed (on TikTok's For You feed each video gets a small badge instead).
Numbers are missing on Instagram or TikTok
Those sites show counts only when you're signed in. Sign in in the same Chrome window and reload. SortViral never shows a number the site doesn't give it: a sort with nothing to sort by is left out.
The bar says the site asked us to slow down
Sites sometimes slow down requests. SortViral stops when that happens instead of pushing on, and keeps what it already sorted. Wait about 10 minutes and press Try again. If it keeps happening on one page, use Report this in the bar.
Formats says it can't run
Formats uses Chrome's built-in AI, which needs a recent computer and an up-to-date Chrome. Without it, use Copy posts for AI, or Use with AI to let your own AI app group them.
How do I delete my data?
Everything SortViral keeps is on your computer. Removing the extension deletes it. Sorted results also delete themselves after 24 hours.
